Reading hardware sensors (temperatures, fan speed) and applying most system tweaks requires elevated access on Windows — there's no way around this for tools that touch privileged system state.

Yes. PcCleaner doesn't disable or interfere with security software. If your antivirus flags the installer, it's most likely a driver-signing false positive from the hardware-monitoring component — see Troubleshooting below.

Use "Uninstall PcCleaner" from the Start Menu group, or Windows Settings → Apps. Logs and reports in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PcCleaner are left in place so you can keep your history if you reinstall later.

This almost always means PcCleaner was installed to a path containing a space (e.g. a custom folder under "Program Files"). Reinstall to the default path (C:\PcCleaner) — the hardware-monitoring driver requires a space-free install path.

Some sensors aren't exposed by every motherboard/BIOS combination. If every reading shows N/A, confirm the app is running elevated (it should self-elevate automatically) and that no other hardware-monitoring tool is holding an exclusive lock on the sensor bus.

This is a known false positive tied to the open-source hardware-monitoring driver component, common to this category of software. If you'd like to verify the download, compare its checksum against the one published on the release page.

Check %LOCALAPPDATA%\PcCleaner\logs for the session log, then report a bug with the relevant log lines attached — that's the fastest way for us to diagnose it.
